About Me
Hello!
My name is Andrea Dula and I am the dance teacher and Dance Team Coach at Green Level High School. I am from Raleigh, North Carolina and I have been dancing since the age of three. I am trained in modern, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, and jazz. I graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education with a K-12 licensure. I currently still dance in a company and I love performing! I am excited to be a director of this program and I can’t wait to dance with everyone! |
How to Register for Dance Classes:
-Incoming 9th graders or students who have never taken dance at the High School Level:
You will need to register with your counselor for Beginning Modern Dance. This class is the introductory level to many new things such as Dance History, Kinesiology/Anatomy, and Vocabulary. All movement taught in this course will be gear towards a high school level dancer.
- Those who passed Beginning Modern Dance with an 80 or above:
You will need to sign up for Intermediate Modern Dance. You are on track to continue your dance education here at Green Level. In this class we will start to look more into Choreography as well as widening your knowledge in Dance History, Kinesiology/Anatomy, and Vocabulary.
-Those who would like to take Proficient Dance Honors or Advanced Dance Honors:
Starting with fall 2021 both Proficient and Advance Dance will be a yearlong course. You will need to register for both Proficient and Advanced Dance Honors. Our system's algorithm needs you to register for both sections of dance. After you register I will work with Student Services to assign you to the correct course. We will have to manually fix everyone registering for either Proficient or Advanced. You will have either proficient or advanced both semesters. In order to advanced into Advanced Dance Honors you must complete an audition or the Proficient level with a 90% or above.
The reason we are turning these course into a yearlong course is to be able to offer you honors credit. We will use the Fall to learn the curriculum and the spring to work on an honors project and honors concert. Students in these courses will perform in both concerts!

A note to the parents & families:
Hello Parents/Guardians,
I am so excited to have your child as one of my students. It is my belief that including the arts in your child's education is necessary and I thank you for allowing them to be apart of the Green Level Dance Department. This page will act as an updates page for you. I will post Daily Agendas for each class along with any important announcements. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. You may also have your student add you as a parent/guardian to our Google Classroom in the semester that they take dance. This will give you weekly updates on your student's progress. Thank you Andrea Dula |
